| (dub)zeck at Highways Performance Space | ||
| This performative mixtape is a molotov cocktail flung at the cold, clean environs of modern theater. Plunging Patty Hearst, "Under My Thumb," Baudrillard, "The Message," Chuck Norris, CNN and other fragments into the boiling tempest of Buchner's classic expressionist text Woyzeck, a shadowy post-future America is mapped wherein all sense of meaning in communication has been erased. Performed in English, French, Polish, German, and Spanish. | ||

365 Days - 365 Plays opens at the Highways Performance Space in Santa Monica |
||
| One of the better interpretations of the plays (not because I'm biased), Patrick Kennely and Leo Garcia curated an evening of music, dance, performance art and theater around Suzanne Lori Parks' work. They created a performance where early 20th and 21st centuries converged under a big top. The event mapped two immagrants' journey through a Breughelian world of indulgence that bordered neo-psychedelia. | ||
